Description

Hashem actually rearranged the thoughts of Achashveirosh. According to Chazal, Achashveirosh was a bigger rasha (evil-doer) than Haman. Amalek was so bad that they would risk their lives just to kill Jews. We eat bitter things on Purim so that they should turn around and be sweet. If we have emunah (faith), then even at the moment that things seem really bad, they can change into something good. We should become intoxicated with the day of Purim.
