Why does it say that there was light for the Jewish people? The darkness that surrounds Hashem is because of the infinite light of Hashem that makes it impossible to see. The tzaddik's (righteous person) eyes will change us into human beings who are able to see the essence of truth. We have the strength to uplift every moment of our lives. The Egyptians didn't have Torah and mitzvos (commandments) to receive the light of Hashem. If we are afraid to think of the essence, we will spend our whole lives running away from the essence. What destroyed the Egyptions?
