The meaning of "And Yitzchak went to converse in the field". Submissiveness causes sadness because we don't have the ability to carry out our own personal will. When we give into Hashem, we become attached to the source of all joy. The greatest source of sadness and despair is a preoccupation with ourself. Submissiveness in its core is a holy trait. The "shoulds" in our lives cause complaints.
