Everyone is born with a certain deficiency that we need to correct. We are supposed to gain from the other nations around us. We should not gain from the nations the desire to have what they have. We should learn from them to desire that which we don't have. i.e. A close relationship with Hashem. Through Hashem saying the word “light” five times on the first day of Creation and the corresponding five steps of Avraham Aveinu's life, we can find a way to complete ourselves bringing us closer to Hashem.
