Our natural desire to serve Hashem is with certainty and in the right way. What did Yaakov Avinu really mean when he wanted tranquility? Yaakov's struggle between the traits of his father and his grandfather. In this world Hashem is seeking our love where we choose to want to love Him. In the world to come we will be rewarded but not earn any merit. What could happen to us in the perfect situation? Hashem wants us to wrestle with our defects in order to acquire the higher title of Yisroel (Israel). Why do good Jewish parents bring their children into spiritual uncertainty for the hope of physical certainty?
