If Jews wouldn’t have sinned with the Golden Calf, we would only have Chumash (the Five Books of Moses) and Sefer Yehoshua. All of the 613 mitzvos are alluded to in the Aseres Hadibros (10 Commandments). Our vision, refined at Har Sinai, was dimmed by sin. Goal of learning is reuniting the Oral with the Written Torah. Everything (including Kabbala and science) are in the Torah. A Jew is more refined on Shabbos and our eyes are open to see.
