P. 44 in the commentary (9th perek). The point of the nefesh behamis (animal soul) is really for the ultimate good of the person, and so its war to get control over the body is not a true war. The word 'lamenatzeach' in Tehillim indicates that Hashem, so to speak, wants us to defeat Him. We have to know in our experience that the nefesh behamis is the enemy and you cannot let your guard down. Every nisayon (test) is there to make us great. A person who can transform the nefesh behamis brings a powerful fire into the mind. Do not mix up the yetzers (inclinations). Starting the 10th perek - the war between the nefeshos is not just in the world of actions, but also in the world of self-identity.
