Description

P. 37 in the commentary (9th perek). Oneg (pleasure) comes from the mind, through thinking, understanding, and comprehending Hashem on each person's level. The feeling of ahava (love) for Hashem is rooted first in the constant state of the mind grasping the ohr Elokus (G-dly light). The middos (traits) are about what makes me feel good or not. The sechel (mind) is about grasping what is, which is like water, that has a coldness, in a positive sense. People think that ahava has to be active. Dveykus (bonding) is the state of just being together and deeply understanding the other. The nefesh behamis (animal soul) understands the language of this love like water.
