Description

P. 28 in the commentary (9th perek). In the skull there are three chadarim (rooms) for chochma (wisdom), bina (understanding), and daas (knowledge), that the Nefesh Elokis should fill up. Yira (awe) in the mind cultivates pachad (fear) in the heart. The distance from the brain to the heart is further than the distance between heaven and earth. The middos (character traits) of the heart are the children of the middos of the mind. When a person's avodah starts in the heart, it will not be able to be sustained. Yira, the feeling of tremendous distance from Hashem, is supposed to be cultivated first in the mind, and then ahava follows.
