Description

P. 282 in the commentary (7th perek). Teshuvah b'ahavah (with love) turns aveiros (sins) into merits, even ones done on purpose. The Maharsha says that the aveiros brought him to teshuvah, but that they are still aveiros. Pnimius haTorah says that aveiros become actually transformed. You must be very careful when going into the klipos to do kiruv. A person who feels very far from Elokus (G-dliness) can feel that tremendous longing for Hashem. Wanting more light is not the same as not having light and then discovering it. A ba'al teshuvah does not want to be in that place where he came from, he wants to keep moving and growing.
