Description

P. 274 in the commentary (7th perek). The day begins with davening (prayer) so that we begin with connecting with Elokus, and to take that connection into the day. Even indulging in the permitted goes against the way of Torah, and can feed the Other Side. Eat in moderation. When a person eats from taiva, he activates the yesod (element) of water in the nefesh behamis (animal soul), which spiritually lowers the food along with him in that moment.
