P. 27 & 230. (6th perek). Beginning the 6th perek in the original text of the Tanya and in Chassidus HaMevoaris. Just like the nefesh Elokis (G-dly soul) includes the 10 sefirot and expresses itself through three levushim (garments), so too does the nefesh behamis (animal soul), though they are rooted from the Sitra Achra (Other Side). The middos of a person are directed by the sechel (intellect). Anything we do or think that is not in the will of Hashem, is enclothed in the Other Side. Something that is done not for the sake of Hashem receives its life force through the achoraim (indirect nourishment). All of the nefashos (souls) of the nations of the world and unkosher foods are also drawn from the three impure klipos (shells) of the Other Side.
