Description

P. 211. (5th perek). There is no greater yichud (unification) with Hashem than during Torah learning, even more than other mitzvos. The mitzvah of Torah learning has 2 parts: 1) Speaking words of Torah and 2) To know and grasp Torah in the mind. In all mitzvos, the light of Hashem surrounds us, but when we grasp Torah, the light also penetrates inside of us. When a hisorerus (awakening) is a makif (a surrounding light), it still has an influence. Any effort that a Jew makes, even if it is a makif, is a precious thing. In tefisa (mentally grasping a concept), the mind fully absorbs the Torah. The minds of children are much more absorbent and sensitive than ours.
