Description

P. 209. (5th perek). Even those halachos that will never have real-life application are still Hashem's ratzon (will). The Torah existed before this world and then came down into this world. Hashem's existence and his chochma (wisdom) and ratzon are an inseparable one. The practical aspects of the Stubborn and Rebellious Son did not come fully down into this world. Even Torah-observant people can make the mistake of thinking that the poskim (Halachic authorities) are making decisions based on their response to the world. Learning the 'non-practical' is sometimes emphasized as a means of experiencing the Torah as Hashem Himself, and not as a mere book of practicality.
