Description
P. 206. (5th perek). When there is tefisa (grasping) on a concept, it is consumed within the sechel (mind) and the mind is enclothed in it. When we are really deeply thinking about a concept it will be impossible to do anything else. Tefisa is the unification of the concept and the mind. We should not judge our learning based on the criteria of it being "practical" or not. We can reach a level of lishma (learning for its own sake) when learning Torah topics that are not "practical". The secular world creates laws in response to reality, to serve mankind. To us, the Torah's laws are a function of Torah, which is Hashem's infinite ratzon (will).
