Description

P 172 (4th perek). The outer level of yirah (fear) is in not violating the negative commandments. The inner level of yira is called yiras boshes (the fear of embarrassment) which is the experience of feeling weak and worthless (in a healthy way) before Hashem's greatness. This yira is rooted in ahava and metaphorically understood through how a subject does not want to upset the king. When doing an aveira (sin) we should know that we are increasing evil in the world and prolonging the galus (exile).
