Description

On Shabbos and Yom Tov the clash of the fire of taivos (desires) and the 'moisture' of spirituality creates 'smoke', the love of Hashem consuming the yetzer hara (evil ionclination). 'Mor' is a spice that represents our bitterness of spirit over aveiros (sins). The virgins in the Megillah represent Knesses Yisrael that require soaking in the bitterness of the oil of mor (the understanding of distance from Hashem by aveiros) before approaching the King (who is Hashem).
