Description

Continuing in 4th perek. The nefesh elokis (G-dly soul) connects to Hashem through the 3 levushim (garments) of thought, speech, and action. The ten kochos (powers of the soul) are enclothed and expressed through the 3 levushim. The levushim are not the nefesh (soul) itself, they are external to it. When it comes to overcoming a taiva (lust) or habit, it is not true to say "I can't", but it is true to say, "It's hard". The media wants us to believe that our taivos are the essence of who we are. Change bad thoughts by thinking about something else. The kochos are bound to the nefesh, specifically the kochos ha sechel (intellectual powers), which is why it is hard to change our way of thinking.
