Description

Beginning the 4th perek of the Tanya. The nefesh elokis (G-dly soul) has three garments through which it expresses itself - thought, speech, and action. Ahavas (love of) Hashem fuels the doing of the 248 positive mitzvos. When we do the mitzvos, we access a realm beyond our soul levels of nefesh, ruach, and neshama. The light of Hashem surrounds us and fills us when we do mitzvos. In this physical world, we can do greater things than we can do in Olam HaBa (the World To Come). When we live with the Torah, doing the mitzvos with ahava and yira (fear), we are living in dveykus (attachment) with Hashem.
