Description

P. 150. Continuing the 3rd perek. All of the negative middos (traits) come from the four yesodos (elements) as found in the nefesh habehamis (animal soul). The element of aish (fire) in the nefesh elokis (G-dly soul) is love for Hashem. The emotional longing for Hashem has its root in the act of thinking about Hashem. The mind needs to be cold and clear like water to able to properly direct the emotions. The taivos (lusts) make a big shvitz in the brain. If you don't think about Elokus (G-dliness), how can you ever hope to be spiritual? We must start to be comfortable talking about Hashem.
