Description

P. 142. Continuing the 3rd perek. Bina (understanding) means to understand something in its depth, to bring something from potential to actual. Each piece of Chochma (wisdom) needs to be broken down and analyzed until all details become clear and fit in. Chochma is called the father while Bina is called the mother. Only through Bina does an idea receive its 'limbs'. Shlomo HaMelech says that a person with chochma is full of anger, meaning that a person with great ideas but who cannot bring those ideas into reality, will be filled with frustration, anger, and pain.
