P. 130. There are two types of nefesh - the beheimis (animal), which is a klipah (husk) which conceals, and the elokus (G-dly). The only way to know how to use our kochos (powers) is to know what they are in the first place. The Tzelem Elokim (image of G-d) is the 10 kochos/sefiros (divine emanations). The infinite light is brought down into this reality through the 10 sefiros. At this point in history, it is very easy to deny g-dliness The 10 kochos are not a symbol of the 10 sefiros, they are an actual manifestation of the 10 sefiros, brought down through the hishtalshelus (unfolding) of the worlds.
