Description

Page 109. It is not an exaggeration to state that the mitzvah of dveykus to Torah Scholars is a way of fulfilling the mitzvah of cleaving to Hashem. If we do not mivatel (nullify ourselves) ourselves to the tzaddik, we cannot be m'kabel (receive from) the tzaddik. Just before the arrival of Moshiach, the holy seforim explain that there will be a strengthening of the "female" not wanting to receive from the "male". The underlining thing that is missing in Modern Orthodoxy is the lack of a connection to a tzaddik or Torah Scholar. The main chutzpa is when the m'kabel (recipient) raises up against the mashpia (giver).
