In the days before Moshiach we find ourselves in the "heels" of Adam haRishon. Higher neshamos reach higher levels of G-d consciousness. Today we talk about G-d, whereas earlier generations lived with G-d. Even asking a "question" about whether to go to a Broadway show indicates a total insensitivity to Hashem. Our simchas have a goyish tam (gentile feeling)- the only thing Jewish is the chossan and kallah. Even in the End of Days we are still completely attached to Hashem.
