Description

p. 20. The letter to the Chassidim became the sefer's (book's) introduction. It is within every person's reach to serve Hashem in ones heart and thoughts. Every single Jew can, and must strive to reach the level of a beinunee (intermediate). The additional objective of the sefer Tanya: a substitute for yechidus (private meeting) with the Rebbe. It is understood that learning a sefer is not the same as talking directly with the Tzaddik (righteous man) - how do I find what I need at that moment in the entire sefer? Reading and grasping the written word depends on the person's intellectual ability and path in avodas (service of) Hashem. The divine light hidden in sifrei kodesh (holy writings). The first problem: a closed heart and a weak intellect.
