Description

p. 18. The purpose of Chassidus (devoutness) - revealing the neshomah (soul) to oneself. The Neshomah is "blown open" by learning the Tanya and similar seforim (holy books). The aspect of "eisan" (strength) in every Jew (in Hebrew, the words Tanya and Eisan are comprised of the same letters, just in different orders). About the name of the sefer - Tanya. The klipa (negative outer husk), also called Tanya, fights againts Jews learning the pnimius (depth) of Torah. Learning the secrets of Torah brings us closer to our neshomah, and hence to Hashem. A healthy program in nigleh (revealed Torah) - Gemarah (Talmud), Halachah, etc. Every beginning of any avodah (service) in kedusah (holiness), including the beginning of any sefer, carries with it the entire essence of that avodah.
