Description

Rambam states that the nefesh (soul) is higher than one's mazal. Scientist have been trying to prove that people are "born homosexuals. "Shovavim" is time given to get out of addictions. People are born with certain basic techunas (temperments- traits). Biggest bracha (blessing) we can give our children is power of bechira (free choice). There are ways to rise above the constraints of Egypt's desires. Baal Shem Tov says that to suppress basic techunas is not the tachlis (purpose) of avodah. We have to understand the shoresh (root|) of our techunas and how to use them for kedushah (holiness).
