Description
The Piazecne Rebbe bemoans the difference between a chasid’s visit to the Rebbe in the old days and a visit to the Rebbe in his days. In the days before the holocaust, many children of chasidim left Judaism, and joined political parties. The depressed chasidim of that time only managed to travel to their Rebbes very infrequently. Even while visiting the Rebbe, chasidim felt very little connection to the Rebbe, and saw very little benefit from the trip. In order to benefit from the Rebbe, chasidim have to remain by the Rebbe for extended periods of time, or at least visit the Rebbe frequently. Today, there are signs of the reawakening of the chasidish feeling, but we are not there yet.
