Description

When we pour ourselves into the words of davening (prayer), we actually become the kabbalistic yichudim (unifications). Davening is deeper than thinking about the meanings of the words. Learning hashkafah (Jewish outlook) without emotion can lead to coldness. Chassidim have a unique warmth and hislaavus (fire). Thinking about Yerushalayim is not the same as being in Yerushalayim. Chassidus brings the divine service of the emotions into our lives. Our job is to focus and direct the emotions that we already have for all our pursuits toward kedusha (holiness).
