Description

Before chassidus, kabalah (mystical aspects of Torah) was reserved for those who overcame their physical bodies. Chassidus encourages everybody to learn kabalah. Chassidim use kabalah to understand the physical world. According to chassidim, tefilah (prayer) does not require lofty kavanos (concentrations). Rather we should try to throw our entire body and heart into our prayers. During a Shabbos devoted to kiruv (bringing uniformed Jews closer to their tradition), it is critical to give boys a taste of the feelings and kavanos (meanings) of Judaism.
