Process of trying to understand the dvar Hashem (words of Hashem). Sometimes in the midst of learning we feel intuitively that this piece of Torah has been waiting for us to add onto it. The Tikkunei Zohar (basic Jewish mystical text) discusses where Nevuah (prophecy) comes from. The level of revelation without vision or imagination of something in this world is a prophetic insight from a higher world which does not begin with human reason. Neviim had great power of imagination and could see the creator in the images, shapes, forms of physical reality in this world. We are no longer able to draw down nevuah into the physical world and therefore, the voice of Hashem comes down into the sechel (human intellect and emotions) of tzadikim in this physical world.
