Description

The outpouring from shamayim (heaven) continues into the period of the Anshei Knesses Ha'gedolah (men of the Great Assembly) with the move into the Oral Torah. The mistake of believing that the Oral Torah stems from purely human intellect. Secular wisdom: the process of each generation adding upon the previous ones; an increased ability to learn and comprehend. Today we have lost, yet require the wisdom of earlier Torah giants to understand Torah and learning. The greatest Torah genius today can't replicate the learning of earlier times, and similarly the Rishonim (Early Decisors) cannot reach the wisom of the Amora'im / Tanna'im. Heavenly seichel (understanding) is acquired through hard work and Hashem's help.
