Description

The Navi's (prophet's) purification process according to R' Chaim Vital. Each navi's preparation according to his individual sould and needs. Many of the "Bnei Nevi'im" - the leaders of the time - sanctified themselves just like the 48 named prophets and 7 named prophetesses. Nowadays we are missing the thousands of unnamed prophets and are not able to uplift and inspire ourselves in the prophecy of Moshe Rabeinu (our teacher). Nevi'im taught us different meditation techniques to uncover the soul. The Ba'al Shem Tov brought this type of service back to us. Earlier generations had great movements and programs to work on their avodas (service) Hashem. What happened to Yaakov Avinu (forefather) when he met Yoseph, having missed prophecy for 22 years.
