We must be masters of our nefesh (soul) in all situations throughout the day. The trait of temimus (simplicity) reflects the strength of the soul. The drama and experience of Har Sinai was to feel Hashem. What separates believers from non-believers is greatness. Being a believer demands that a person make life changes. When intellect comes from the nefesh, it results in simplicity. A child needs to see spontaneity in their parents.
