Description

Overcoming oneself reveals the inner nekuda (point) that only a Jew has. The current of thoughts comes most powerfully during davening (praying). When heavy thoughts come during davening, pause for a moment. Thoughts can only be controlled through a relaxed heart. Indulging in the physical, especially eating, can bring out small negative thoughts. The change in thought and mood after eating is very subtle. Imperceptible emotional changes also occur from the agitation of a unfulfilled desire. When we uncover what is bothering us, there is an immediate feeling of relief.
