The difference between reacting to external stimulus and generating emotion from within. Our senses are accustomed to absorb and react. Internal emotional awakening is not bound by time or space. Using imagery to awaken and reveal our inner world. The inner emotion is more important than the object of the emotion. Loving self and others are prerequisites to loving G-d. Bring out the soul initially through externals as a means to access the internal.
