Description
Understanding the connection between Shabbos and Malchus (Kingship). The Mitzvah of “Zachor es Shabbos” (remembering the Shabbos). Hashem wants us to speak about Shabbos. Shamor (guarding) is accomplished by the heart and Zachor fulfilled by the mouth. We must keep both "shamor" and "zachor." Shabbos isn’t considered as a day of physical rest. Eating is an avodah (spiritual practice) that needs to be worked on. Tefillah is an easier avodah than eating. Menucha (rest) is not based on our personal preferences. Shabbos has to be for Hashem not for ourselves.
