Description

We can't be spiritual only with our mind. We need to activate our whole self including our neshama (soul). Every Jew feels something deep about their connection to Hashem. We are not allowed to add onto the prayers which praise Hashem's middos (qualities). We can add onto Hashem's praises through song. A niggun (melody without words) can be elevated to the highest height (zemiros) or brought down to the lowest of lows (rap). We need to light a candle and connect it to the previous generations. We can use our spark of prophecy and talk to Hashem directly.
