Description

No matter how unintelligent or boorish a Jew is they still are considered a ben Navi (child of the prophets). The Baal Shem Tov explains that every Jew has a spark of G-dliness buried deeply in them that causes a tremor for teshuvah (repentance) every day. In order to fully feel the ruach ha'nevuah (spirit of prophecy), we must separate ourself from unnecessary physical pleasures. A person's potential doesn't change – but instead of memorizing Shas, we are memorizing baseball players and celebrities.
