Description

A ben Torah (student of Torah) does not necessarily know a lot. A benTorah is someone who internalizes and always acts in an appropriate manner. Hillel calls the Jews “b'nei Nevi'im” (children of prophets) because they internalized the prophets' messages and allowed it to change them. The unraveling of yiddishkeit is when people start changing minhagim (customs) or pronunciations for convenience or ideology.
