Description
This shiur talks to those of us who do not feel that our Torah study is helping us grow in Judaism. Torah should not be studied merely as an intellectual pursuit, rather we have to find G-d in the Torah. Our entire Torah study can be transformed by reflecting upon G-d and the Torah’s Godliness before we begin. Before learning Torah it is advisable to recite a prayer, asking G-d that we be successful in our learning. Prayer is predominantly a means of forging a connection with G-d, and not merely a convenient way to acquire what we lack.
