Parent/Teacher must maintain a balance of joy and gentleness and awe and reverence. Treating the child as an intelligent person engenders love and respect and is ultimately more effective. Parent/Teachers must instill self-confidence and open the child’s heart without inflating the child’s ego. The Rebbe’s advice in the types of learning to utilize to excite and enthrall the children.
