The purpose of this sefer is to develop the deeper spiritual essence of a Jew who is fully devoted to Hashem. Focus on future potential of children rather than current performance. There is no absolute evil nature or character of a Jewish child. Positive redirection of bad traits, rather than breaking the spirit is stressed. The Rebbe’s distress at the large numbers leaving Hashem and the lack of response by Jewish educators. Parents and teachers must accept responsibility for their children.
