Description
This shiur explores various perspectives in Jewish thought regarding one’s primary purpose in life. We first discuss whether one’s life in this world is supposed to be primarily focused on the next world or on this one. We then develop four approaches in Jewish thought regarding man’s true goal in this world. While not necessarily mutually exclusive, each one highlights a distinct perspective on one’s purpose in this world. This is the fifth shiur in our series on Ramchal’s Messilat Yesharim.
