Description
We will study the Sugya of Ner Chanuka in Masechet Shabbat and analyze the question: is Pirsum HaNes an essential element in this mitzva, and the absence of Pirsum invalidates the Mitzva; or is Pirsum an additional Kiyum that enhances the Mitzva but it is not indefensible? We will study Tos', the Rashba & Ritva, the view of the Rambam and of the Mechaber.
