Description

Chapter 17, pages 40-41. In the eyes of the world, Justice and Mercy are opposing traits. Concessions seem like a method of achieving peace and harmony. However, the purest form of strict justice is really the highest form of (divine) mercy. They are not opposite but one and the same. Real mercy helps someone reform their ways, not descend into worse behavior. Concessions prolong suffering. Real mercy doesn't always feel good in the moment, but ultimately leads to something better, that is real and true. The final redemption will be the real and true salvation, but not before many smaller moments, that seem to be filled with pain and suffering. All of that is facilitating a higher level of mercy, that will herald the coming of Moshiach.
