Description
The Torah operates with two definitions of Yom & Leila. One is based on light and darkness; the other is based on the appearance or disappearance of the sun on the horizon. The difference between these two definitions applies to two time slots bot of which have light but the sun is gone. After the sun sets, there is still reflected light that lights up the western sky. In the morning, even before the sun rises, light is generated by the sun in the east. In this shiur we will analyze when each of these definitions operate and we will offer the Rav's unique understanding of the 'safek' of Bein HaShmashot.
