Description

What obligations are unique to Erev Yom Kippur? Is the 9th of Tishrei a Yom Tov, engendering a Mitzva of Achila & She'siya? Or is it no more than the day before Yom Kippur and it's obligations reflect its status as a day of preparation for the Yom Tov of Yom Kippur? In this shiur we will investigate three obligations that are unique to Erev Y"K: one, eating and drinking; two, initiating a process of Ritzuy viv-a-vis one's fellow Jew; three, the obligation of Viduy, to recite and declare a confession of sin.
