In this shiur on Derech HaLimud (Talmudic methodology) called Tools for Brisk, we will analyze the fundamental chakira: Universal Halacha vs. Special (particular) Halacha. We will dedicate a large part of the shiur to Meleches Shabbos and analyze Bishul and Ktiva in terms of their unique mechanics and principles, and contrast these with universal bishul & ktiva. We will do the same for the unique principles that apply to the lulav (in contrast to the other minim), and those of Succah as well.
