The Rambam and shulchan aruch codify the principle that the Kabbalat Tosefet Shabbat of the Tzibbur automatically imposes Kedushat Shabbat on every member of the community. This seems to apply not only to Issur Melacha, but to Tefilla as well. We will investigate the baseis for this princible as well as the controversy regarding the extention of Tosefet Shabbat at the end of Shabbat ,does the Kabbalat Tosefet Shabbat of the Tzibbur automatically impose Kedushat Shabbat on every member of the community?
